Jacob Lord's journey into 3D printing began with a spark of curiosity when he received a basic 3D printer as a gift for his 18th birthday in 2016. Intrigued but unsatisfied with its capabilities, he dove into the mechanics and engineering behind the technology, learning to modify and enhance its performance. As he developed expertise, his hobby evolved into a passion for designing high-performance 3D printers from scratch, leading him to establish Construct3D. 

What started as a small, makeshift workshop in his bedroom quickly grew into a pioneering business distinguished by its commitment to innovation, precision, and durability. A series of notable milestones marked Construct3D's breakthroughs in the field. In 2020, the company earned a significant accolade by winning a DASA (Defence and Security Accelerator) bid, providing crucial funding and validation. This win propelled the brand forward, setting the stage for a highly successful Kickstarter campaign in 2022 that allowed Construct3D to expand its product line and reach a wider audience. The crowning achievement came when Construct3D unveiled its flagship 3D printer at TCT3Sixty, where industry professionals recognised the brand’s superior quality and cutting-edge technology.
